SEPTEMBER BIOECONOMY DAYS IN SWEDEN
BioFuel Region hosted the Bioeconomy Days in Umeå, Sweden, focusing on capacity-building with the Swedish forest as the central theme. The event showcased innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across various sectors of the bioeconomy.
The C4B project was proudly showcased on September 17th, with Ida Norberg presenting the project’s latest achievements. On September 18th, Magnus Matisons and Ida Norberg from BioFuel Region participated in a study visit, deepening their exploration of Swedish forest management practices.
The event also included pitches from four EU Horizon projects, as well as innovative contributions from SMEs and start-ups, including Envigas, a key player in the Swedish wood case study. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Swedish forest management, through both discussions and a hands-on visit to a sawmill that produces and exports sawn timber and Brännland Cider shared their inspiring journey, from starting out a decade ago to being featured at the prestigious Nobel dinner.
