C4B at the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026 in Dublin
The C4B project was represented at the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026 (GBS2026), held on 20–21 October in Dublin, Ireland, through the participation of project coordinator and partner PNO Innovation Italy and PNO Innovation Spain.
The summit brought together international experts, policymakers, researchers and industry representatives to discuss the challenges and opportunities of scaling up the bioeconomy and accelerating the market uptake of sustainable bio-based solutions.
As a Gold Partner of GBS2026, PNO Innovation contributed to the programme through two dedicated sessions and welcomed participants at its stand, offering opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and increasing awareness of European bioeconomy initiatives, including C4B.
From biomass challenges to market uptake
On 20 October, Francesco Sottile from PNO Innovation Spain contributed to the session “Price, Biomass and the Economics of Success: Is the Bioeconomy Caught in a Feedstock Paradox?”, exploring how bioeconomy scale-up may reshape feedstock economics and the importance of creating value for primary producers and addressing key economic challenges and barriers to scaling up bio-based innovations.
Strengthening C4B’s visibility and stakeholder engagement
Within C4B, PNO Innovation Italy coordinates the project, with Anna Franciosini representing the coordination team, while PNO Innovation Spain contributes to Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation and Replication , represented at the event by Francesco Sottile.
Their participation provided an opportunity to promote C4B’s objectives, connect with relevant stakeholders and explore opportunities for collaboration supporting circular and sustainable bio-based value chains.
The event reinforced C4B’s commitment to fostering innovation, stakeholder engagement and the market uptake of bio-based solutions across Europe.
